Post Mastectomy - How to Measure for a Proper Fit Proper Bra Size: Place tape measure under breast from center of breastbone in front to center of spine in back. Double the measurement and add 5 inches. This is your bra size. Example: If under breast measurement (center front to center back) is 14 1/2 inches, double it (14 1/2 x 2 = 29 inches). Add 5 inches. Your bra size would be 34 inches. Note: if total is an odd number (35 for example) select the next larger size (for 35, buy 36). Proper Cup Size: Measure over fullest part of remaining breast from center breastbone in front to center of spine in back. Double the number.
